Cheryl Rennels, Managing Broker
I was raised in Omaha, Nebraska on a farm with horses, cattle and hogs. I had a successful banking and commercial real estate career before moving to Colorado in 1980. My agricultural, real estate and financial background attracted clients, both for their commercial and personal real estate needs.
In 1989, I created and directed the development of The Ridges, Shadow Ridge Golf Club and Spring Ridge in Omaha, then the largest residential golf course development PUD in the State of Nebraska. I was the first in the state to incorporate bronzes of Colorado artists throughout the development.
My husband and I created Points West, Inc. to serve our clients and fulfill their dreams. We were equally comfortable at the kitchen or the board room table. Duane was one of the first real estate brokers in CO to focus on water because he knew of its value and significance. He passed away in 2007, but the values and tradition continue. I live on a ranch in Livermore, Colorado with horses, cattle and prairie raised wildlife! I have a lot of experience living this lifestyle and it is a choice with many factors to consider. I have a lasting deep connection to the land and know why people are drawn to the country.
After 40 years in real estate, I’m not in it for the hype, glitz or schmoozing and I’m not a tour guide. I connect with and work for my clients, fulfilling their wish list. That is where I focus my real estate time. I most enjoy being an agent, buyer or seller, working for you as you move through the process of fulfilling your dream. So whether it is commercial, city or country living, I have the experience and can meet your needs.

Duke Marquiss, Consultant www.loaninvestors.com and DS & K Investments, LLC.
I am a Wyoming native who grew up on ranch south of Gillette, Wyoming raising cattle, sheep and dryland wheat. Upon graduation
from the University of Wyoming with a B.S. degree in Vocational Agriculture Education, I started my teaching career in Cheyenne, WY. Drafted in 1969 into the US Army, I served in Viet Nam, then came home and worked on the home ranch. After two years teaching in Gillette, I purchased a motel that my wife and I operated. I was bitten by the real estate bug and became licensed in 1974 selling primarily commercial property along with farm and ranches.
Over the years I have: built and operated a 60-unit motel, over 100,000 square feet of commercial buildings, managed an 80-unit
apartment complex, 56 single family homes and 7 billiard halls in three states, developed, acted as general contractor on a 21,000sf
flex space and sold over 500 single family lots. A recent project, located in Rock Springs, WY, I acquired the 67 townhome rental units,
filed covenants, created a Homeowner’s Association, rehabbed units and sold all 67 units in less than 6 months. I have dealt with municipalities during the negotiations of annexation, planning of developments, negotiating utility agreements with sanitation districts, and the development of property. Holly Salisbury, Associate Broker
Born and raised in western Nebraska, I attended the University of Nebraska and then transferred to Colorado State University
where I received B.S. in Psychology. I also obtained a M.Ed. from the University of Louisville in Kentucky. I worked at Colorado
State University and then began my real estate career in commercial real estate. In 1998 I joined Points West where I have had
the opportunity to learn and be involved in land development and water rights in addition to property sales.
Ever since joining Points West I knew I was where I needed to be. We are not about the numbers . . . the money, at Points West.
We are about giving people the quality and integrity of the service they deserve. We are hardworking, thorough and honest.
I have now been in the real estate industry for over 20 years. I love working with people and helping them fulfill their dreams by taking care of them and their business. I attribute this to my good old fashioned Midwestern values. In my spare time, my husband and son and I spend our time as much as possible in the great Colorado outdoors!

Eric Nichols, Associate Broker
A Detroit native, Eric is an Alumni of Michigan State University. Upon graduation, he received a commission as an Officer in the United States Air Force. After serving his country for five years, in locations stretching from California (back when it was a good place to live) to the Southern Mediterranean, Eric honorably resigned from the service in 1989 and moved to Fort Collins where he began his career in real estate.
For over 30 years, Eric has worked in nearly every facet of the real estate industry. Clients range from homeowners to investors, builders, developers, national retailers and hotels, Fortune 500 corporations and REITs.
Primarily operating as developer/owner representative, Eric has extensive experience in site selection, assemblage (to include entire City blocks), acquisition, planning, development, point of purchase sale ops and asset dispositions.
He’s worked on 27 development projects ranging from single family, multi-family, mixed-use, neighborhood shopping centers, quick service restaurants, industrial/warehouse and was part of the team that built the first downtown loft project in Northern Colorado.
Eric’s service to the community was extensive. President of Fort Collins Board of Realtors in 2005-06. Board of Directors Legacy Land Trust. E-470 Blue Ribbon Committee (when the road was just a dream) … various committees concerning City planning … the Chamber of Commerce … the Symphony … and for several years was a guest instructor at Colorado State University and a business columnist for the local newspaper.
Now in the final stages of a real estate career, Eric has whittled down his efforts to serving the real estate needs of a few commercial clients while operating his small horse ranch located just south of the Wyoming border (much more fun than sitting on committees).
Eric’s philosophy and key to success: Keep it simple, stay focused, listen more – speak less, create win-win situations and always … take the high road… despite what curves life may toss your way.
